Goods in transit insurance

We cover an array of insurance providers who specialise in 'Goods in Transit Insurance'; whether this is goods which you are delivering on behalf of a customer, equipment you are delivering for your employer or some form of equipment you regularly carry in your heavy goods vehicle (or a mixture of all three)

Imagine doing all of the hard work to secure a lucrative contract, only for goods in transit to be lost or damaged through no fault of your own, and the potential compensation and damages claims against you. If your cover is not up to date and comprehensive, the potential liability could have a profound impact upon your business.

We advise you not to skimp on your haulage insurance , which includes goods in transit cover. Make sure, for example, you don’t have £10,000 worth of goods in transit cover if you are carrying goods worth £20,000!! Increasing the levels of cover doesn’t cost much more, and this not only makes sure you are adequately coved but will give your current and prospective new customers confidence that you are fully protected.

In reality there are very few businesses who would actually even consider an HGV driver or Haulage service unless it had substantial 'Goods in Transit Insurance', so vital is this aspect of any haulage business or sole proprietor.

Cover is available on a legal liability Basis (i.e RHA, CMR, FTA etc) or All Risks. We can arrange cover for the movement of all classes of goods throughout the UK, Europe and Worldwide.

The goods that you carry on behalf of a third party are included. Cover can be arranged on an RHA or all risks basis. Additional cover can be provided for CMR conditions of carriage, deterioration of stock or hazardous goods. Increased RHA limits can also be arranged.

You can usually get public liability insurance bundled with Goods In Transit (GIT) cover for a small extra charge.

It covers you for damage or injury to other people or their property — like, for example, if you are unloading the HGV and someone injures themselves or damages their back
